BoBa Fest

Welcome to the pop up Foam Fest games weekend hosted by FoamFest, Spartan Events and Ace Strike Force.

This will be a 16yrs+ event running between 200 and 300fps caps. Access to the site will be from 7pm on Friday 11th. Please arrive, check in and ask an organiser where to park and where to pitch your camp. Camp facilities are basic and include a toilet and washroom with cold running water and a water tap outside as well. Please make sure you have enough camping equipment, food, drinks etc to see you through the weekend. The nearest supermarkets are in Thirsk about 15mins drive away. There is no electricity on site although battery charging and HPA refils will be available. BBQs and cooking can be done on the concrete road in front of the main building, no where else please. There are no official games planned for Friday evening but anyone who is on site and set up, we can organise some casual skirmishes in the evening, light permitting.

Please bring your own soft tipped darts, no hard tips please. If you need to purchase darts UKnerfwar should have some available and Smyth's toys now stock the new xshot long darts on store shelves.

Smokes and bangs will be allowed and we are working on a possible mass order or having some available to buy on site TBC.

Saturday morning will be. 10am start for first safety briefing and game rules. The first session between 10am and 12noon and will be 200fps cap. We will then have a short break and session 2 will start at 1pm till 4pm this will be 300fps cap (with tier system in place for different blaster types) then another short break. Session 3 will be from 5pm to 7pm and will be the same 300fps cap. We will then stop for dinner and evening social. As this is Foam fest we will have our charity raffle running (donations welcome) and we will have a few vendors who will have things for sale carboot style around the site so feel free to see what's on offer.

Sunday morning we will be running some 200 FPS games between 10am and 12 noon and then we need to pack up and ideally be off site for about 2pm. We appreciate people may need to travel and leave earlier.

Once everyone is on site the site gate will be locked so please see an organiser if you need to leave the site by car at any point during the weekend. The site is also close to a residential area so there will be a curfew for music and loud noise later in the evening. There will also be a couple of areas on site tapped off that will be out of bounds as they are close to residential buildings.

The weekend will have Starwars theme so please feel free to dress appropriately.

RULES:

Obviously, rule 0 will be in effect. We’re all here to have fun so keep it light and always assume positive intent.

The following FPS caps will be in force. Single Action blasters – 300fps, Semi-auto – 250fps, Full Auto – 200fps

Minimum engagement distance will be 10m at these velocities.

For certain games, we will be using CQB areas exclusively, in which case a flat 200fps cap will be in place and the minimum engagement will be 5m

Smoke and bangs will be allowed during the games.

No smoking outside of designated areas.

No alcohol to be consumed in game zones.

This event is strictly for players aged 16+. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Eye protection is mandatory everywhere except the designated safe zone.

Game rules will be explained during the briefing for each game.
